I told you it was very simple. I want to stay simple too. I don't want a complex program that I can't even explain.
I want to be able to set up in no time and earn money. Don't write to me and say "I already knew that" because that would sound silly. If you were making $1,000 a day in less then 2 hours a day then you wouldn't have purchased this information. If you bought it just to know, well, now you know.
Don't bother me writing to me and saying that I didn't shake your world with earth shattering revaluations because while you are writing your email my income system is making money for me.
So, don't get yourself all riled up because the system is not complicated. Believe me when I tell you, that it's best to keep it simple. So here's what I do.
I find saleable information assets. An asset is something that produces income. Your car is not an asset. I know you might think it is, but it isn't. An asset is income producing and a car is a liability that costs to run an depreciates or loses value. An asset appreciates and/or produces income.
An informational asset is powerful. I look for what large groups of people are buying information on.
Allow me to say that the best asset is the one I create. I like to own the full rights to an informational asset so I like to do my own homework and verify the information. It is a great way for me to learn new topics.
For those of you who are not writers, or don't want to do homework for creating an asset, there are alternatives but that doesn't mean you won't have homework to do. After all, we are talking about a system that will produce a very strong daily, weekly, monthly income for you if you put it to work. It's worth the work and investment.
I read reports, I watch trends, and I take the time to listen to what is and isn't working for me and those I work with. One of the things you will receive from me are periodic updates. I call them E-updates and as I see new things or see an area where people are struggling, I share answers with you. I find out what people are searching for online.
Once I think I have a possible category, I will run some statistical searches to see how many people are actually looking for the information on the subject I am considering. Lets say it's recipes. I want to know how many people per month are coming on line looking for information on recipes. After doing some fact compilation, I figure out that 1million people are are searching the Internet every month for things related to recipes. If I can see a large pool of people around a subject, I know that there is a place to serve them, If I choose to pick this subject.
I want you to try it now. Yahoo Tools - Click on "Keyword Selector Tool" under tools menu on right
Get out a piece of paper, right down 5 topics or subjects.
So you can stay organized type your 5 in the boxes below:
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Once you have done that, I want you to enter them into what is called a keyword search tool which I provide a link to below. A keyword search is just typing in a specific topic and it will tell you how many people search for that particular subject every month. It will also show you different keywords that people type in to look for the similar subject just by using different forms of the words. These will be listed below the keyword you enter. Ok, try it now. Click on the link and type in your preliminary ideas.
When you get you results, type in the amount of times each subject was searched for below:
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
If you have found that the subjects you selected did not get very many results, you should keep trying until you find 5 subjects that average about 500,000 to 1,000,000 total searches. When I say total, I mean all of the searches related to the subject you typed in. That means all of the searches that came up when you did your test. This includes all of the words listed below that specific keyword, not just for the ones that exactly matched what you typed in.
Everything from how to lower your golf score to how to make the perfect muffin. It doesn't matter what kind of information it is, it's not for you and it's not for me. It's for the people who want it, remember that.
How do I get Informational assets?
When I first started, I didn't want to necessarily be a writer or a researcher, I just wanted to overcome the financial problem I had. I don't really want to work hours and hours researching every conceivable subject. That doesn't make sense to me. Besides, I'm not that smart!
Instead, I checked out affiliate programs. This is the easiest way to get started. As an affiliate, you are signing up with a company and offering their product for a percentage of the profit. There are several ways you can work an affiliate program:
1: Banners: Using banner advertisements that the company provides for you to place on your web site. Let's say for example purposes, you want to have a web site that teaches people how to save money on buying cars, or homes, or auto insurance, or health insurance. The first thing you would need to do is learn about the topic. If it was "How to save money on your next car" you would need to do some research on some tips on that subject. Then you would place your affiliate banners, that are related to your topic, in spots that people would notice them and then click on them. For example, a banner that refers people to a company that offer an auto loan with low rates. When they click on a banner, they are sent to the company that supplied the banner. If they purchase a service from that company, you get paid. What, or how much, depends on the company's pay out for affiliates.
To see an example of a site that uses this strategy, visit http://www.callcarguy.com You can find company's that offer affiliate programs that provide banners a couple of different ways. One way is to look for a company that provides what service you are looking for by searching the Internet for it. If you wanted to find an auto loan company, you would just type in "auto loan" into the search box of your Internet explorer. Then when the results come up, check out the company's until you find one that fits your needs. If they have an affiliate program, it should say affiliates or partners at the bottom of their home page. Click on that link to find out more about their program. Before you sign up with them, make sure you check out some other company's to see who will pay you the most. The other way is to sign up with a company called Commission Junction. http://www.cj.com Signing up with this company is free.
Once you sign up with them, you can search the company's they have partnered with to find several ones that fit your web sites needs. Once you search and find the company's that will fit your site, you will need to apply for that company's affiliate program. Don't apply until your site is complete. The reason is because they will want to look at the site they are authorizing you to place their banner on. You will still be able to find out how much they are going to pay you by reading about the company's affiliate program. Some loan companies pay up to $150.00 for a loan approval! This means. if you are sending people to them to apply for a loan, and they get one, you get paid $150.00. If you have questions about Commission Junction, make sure you email them directly. They can provide you an accurate answer more quickly then we can.
2: Hop Links: A company provides you with a web page that is a duplicate to their sales page. This is a great way to start quickly. They will provide you with a web address that you advertise. Very easy. The only thing you need to do is advertise it which we will show you suggestions later on in this chapter. To find companies that offer this program, go to ClickBank, http://www.clickbank.com and click on there "Promote Products" section on the left hand side of the page to search the company's they are partners with. If you cannot find what you are looking for be sure to email them directly, you will get a quicker answer then we can provide for you.
Instead I contracted with information providers for the resale rights to their information programs or products outright or for a percentage of a sale. This way I have a product that is ready to go. I don't have to write it, I just have to make it available to others. I personally prefer just getting the rights to the information so I don't to deal with anyone else if I can.
The other way, if you find a company that you think offers a good product or information that does not have an affiliate program, is to send them an email requesting partial resell rights to their product or service. You will be asking them if you may resell their information or service and share the profit depending on what they feel is fair. An email request would be written something like this:
Dear (Company),
I have read the Information (or service) you are offering and would like to help you reach more people and create more sales. I would like to be able to offer your information (or service) to people for a portion of the profit based on what you feel is fair. Please respond to my inquiry so we can discuss it further.
Thank you,
(Your Name & Email address)
How do you find someone with the information you would like to provide? Not hard at all. When you are done with the above brain storm of what subject you are going with, the next step is to see who is already providing the information to those people looking, and most importantly, who is successful at it, right? RIGHT!
Once you find them, contacting them is easy. Here are the steps to find the best providers of the information you are considering to offer.
What you will be using is called a bid tool. You are going to type in one of your subjects from above into the bid tool and it is going to list the companies, in order, on who is the most successful. How do I know this? Because I am one of them. The higher the company is on this list, the more they are paying to drive a potential customer to their site. It is called "pay per click" I will teach you that later. In short, you bid against other companies to be at the top of this list. The ones on top are successful because they are obviously able to afford to be there, make sense? Of course it does! Time to try it
First thing I need you to do is click on this link: Yahoo Tools - Click on "Bids Tool" under tools menu on right
Now, type in your one of your subjects from above and type in the password, use lower case letters in the password part. When you hit enter on your keyboard, you will see the list of web sites that are currently bidding on this subject and offering the information or service to the customers.
I want you to focus on the top three web sites. You can go down further if you want to, you are learning right now and it doesn't hurt to see the differences between a very successful site and a just OK site.
Repeat this step with all 5 of your prospective subjects. Get the paper and pad out, write notes, ideas and whatever comes into your head. It is time for you to be like an information sponge!
So, to recap you can do the following things:
#1 Become an Affiliate:
As mentioned above, an affiliate is someone who offers the exact product or information someone else is offering and sharing in the profit. This is done by Banner Ads or Hop Link as mentioned above. Affiliate money that you can make varies from program to program. You will see our offer, during it's availability, to become our Affiliate at the bottom of the system. Most Affiliate programs range from 20% to 50% per sale. Our Affiliate program offers you 60% with a web page already built for you. This means, you keep $34.20 per sale. We absorb all of the merchant charges in the portion we retain.
#2 Contact the site owner to ask about possible resell rights.
As mentioned above, you can do this by simply emailing them in their contact section, and asking them if they are interested. When someone says ok, they will work out how they will arrange it and what portion of the profit you should get, should be around 30%-50% of what they are making. It's good business for them, no risk. You will be advertising it.
#3 Create your own idea by learning from others. Have you stumbled across a web site that you feel could be improved? You can improve a site and offer the same service, just be aware of copyright laws in the process.
Either way you choose, you are not designing your own sales pitch, you are using word for word (option 1 & 2) or you are altering someone's (option 3) and making it your own!
Let me just say again, I don't like to sell anything. I don't want to be a sales person. I just want to go to the bank and see my money grow. I don't want to have to keep selling my whole life to make a living. Instead, I want my computer employees to sell it for me.
So I simply get the information and my "employees" resell it for a considerable profit. If I have a product that sells for $100 and I get up to 60% of that (due to option 1 or 2 resell rights) that means I receive $60.00 per order. I don't like to take on a product that doesn't have real appeal to it. If it's going to work for me, it has to be something a fairly large group of people would be interested in knowing.
The next step is for you to get your subject seen.
You may have a great idea, great information or a great service but if no one see's it, it is 100% worthless. You came to this site because you were "searching" on the Internet for a way to make money. I list the site under "keywords" that have to do with making money. When someone types in one of the keywords I use to list this site on the Internet, my site comes up in one of the top three positions. On some of the keywords that I use, when someone types it in to the search bar, this site comes up first out of over 20,000,000 listings on the Internet. Pretty amazing. You would probably think that is expensive but it is not. I will explain how to list your idea shortly, before you list it though, you have to have a web site to list. There are Affiliate programs, like ours, that offer you your own web page already built to their site so you do not have to build your own web site. As I mentioned above.
Your automatic cash flow system, your web site.
Myth #1: Building a web site is difficult.
Not true at all. If you can click, drag and type, you can build your site fairly easy. The company I use to build my sites is called Homestead. They make it very easy. When you sign up with them, you will download their software. This software is so easy to use. The following is a quote from their site:
"The easiest do-it-yourself business website builder available. Visitors can build their own website with over 30+ vital business features in just minutes - NO programming or design skill required."
If you have your idea picked out, you can literally have you site done in hours. Make sure you stick to one topic per web site for maximum effectiveness. You want people to find what they are looking for quickly.
Myth #2: Building a web site is expensive.
Not true with the company I am setting you up with. Some companies charge a bunch of money to get your site up and to host it for you. Homestead offers a 7 day Free trial to see how it works! This gives you plenty of time to build your site on your own. There are companies out there that will create a site for you, but they charge thousands of dollars to do it. Once you start learning how to do it with Homestead, you will learn that you can save your money and do it yourself. Their Basic web hosting package is only $4.95 a month after the trial. They include everything you need.
Ok, if you have your subject ready or your idea, and are ready to start learning how to build your site, click on the banner below so that you can sign up with Homestead. To take advantage of the free trial, click on the "do it yourself link on the bottom left hand corner of the Homestead page.
If you are not ready to sign up yet, that's ok, keep reading.
They offer help on everything you could possibly want to ask them. I have searched for a lot of companies that are simple and easy to use, they are one of the best and user friendly.
When your web site is complete, you will be ready to advertise it. Of all the companies there are, believe me there is no shortage, the best two to use are Overture, and Google. They are both what you call "Pay Per Click" advertisers.
Pay Per Click Advertising: This is when you only pay for the people that one of the companies direct to your site looking for your specific information, service or product. This is the best way to advertise because you don't want to pay for people that are looking for televisions when you are offering information on a business opportunity. You only get people that are SPECIFICALLY looking for what you are offering.
What does it cost?
Signing up with Overture is free, Google charges a $5 sign up fee. You can take your pick, Google has tutorial presentation that I want you to watch before you decide. Please watch it now and then I will go over what it will cost you each time someone clicks on your ad and comes to your site.
Google Tutorial: Click Here (Googles will say it is a sign up demo, you don't have to sign up just click on each topic to watch it.)
Who should you choose? That is up to you. I have used both. To hold up to what I told you, doing this with no out of pocket expense's would mean signing up with Overture. (No need to sign up for their fast track program, that costs $200) Which ever one you feel more comfortable with.
Whichever company you use, they will walk you through the simple process of getting your web site listed. From how to pick your keywords to how much you should bid. Speaking of bidding, let me tell you a little about that.
Bidding and cost per click. What matters the most? Your R.O.I or return on investment. You want to maximize the amount you make to be more then the amount you spend. How do you do this? By making sure the keywords you use to list your site are relevant to what you are offering. Both companies will give you a bunch of relevant keywords you can use instead of the exact ones you have chosen from your above 5. You will need to examine what each one's cost is and how many projected visitors they will tell you you will receive. When you start out, you want to find cheap listings that will still allow you to be one of the top three listings. Being in one of the top three listings allows your site to be seen by 80% of the Internet users.
I looked for listings that generated about 30,000 searches and would give me a click through of about 1500 people a month. The other key to the combination is I looked for the ones I just mentioned that I could be one of the top three listing for a max bid of no more then .40 cents. This means I was projected to receive 1500 people looking for what I was offering for .40 cents each. If you do the math on that, that cost me $600. Now before you choke on that number, if I was selling information for $57, I only had to have 12 people out of 1500 to purchase it to make a return on my investment. $57x 6 = $684. That is lees then a 1% response! I actually had a 8% response, 8% of 1500 = 120 orders, x $57 = $6,840!! Pretty good return on my monthly investment of only $600 wouldn't you say. That's nothing, what if you spend 3 times that? Your cost would be $1800 and you would make a whopping $20,520!! That is how I built it. Baby steps until I was making a ton of money. I also want you to think about something else, If you have 5 ideas, and you only make a $2000 return on your investment on each, that is $10,000 a month! So you see how it can add up fairly easy, $10,000 a month is only about a 2 - 3% response on your program depending on your cost. Take a minute to let that sink in.
This is just an example of what I did, you will have less, the same, or better results depending on you learning how to use one of the two companies above and your accuracy and validity of the information you offer.
There are two different ways that Overture and Google bill you. Google, charges you about every 2-3 days for the advertising costs out of a checking account you set up with them. Overture requires you to have an account with money in it and they pull the money out as you get traffic daily. It is up to your personal comfort level with which way you should choose.
A couple more little known advertising methods are great ideas and reach MILLIONS of people for a fraction of pay-per click advertising. The first one is good old fashion classified advertising. BUT IT STILL WORKS GREAT! You can reach 30,000 to 50,000+ people for under $20.00!! I use this all of the time and it is just about my favorite. The company to use is: Nationwide Advertising. http://www.nationwideadvertising.com/thrifnicads1.html
They allow you to pick and choose where you want your ad placed. If you have an option to put a border around it, do so, it makes a big difference in who will notice your ads. Whenever and wherever possible, make sure your ad is placed in the correct category that has to do with what you are offering: Example: Car buying tips, should be in the Automotive classification.
Getting your money!
Ok, you have your idea or your affiliate program, you have your web site, you have your listing company or advertising company chosen....How do you get your money?!
I use Stormpay, they are easy to use, they have a free set up, and they accept all major credit cards and also accept checks. They are easy to implement into your site. I DO NOT USE PAYPAL. I did at one point in time until they randomly held $7,000 of my money for 180 days. (If you are thinking about using Paypal, please visit these sites that list the horrors of doing business with them. www.aboutpaypal.com and www.paypalwarning.com) Once you sign up with Stormpay you will need to create a button to place on your site to link the orders to your checking account or ATM machine. To sign up for Stormpay, click below:
http://www.stormpay.com
Then, to find the button creator, click on the "merchant tools" tab and then click on "buy now single item buttons"
You will be walked through it and then you will need to copy the HTML code and paste it to your web site. Don't let this computer mumbo jumbo scare you, it is easy. When you copy it from the HTML from Stormpay with your right click and hit select all, then copy, open up your web site then the page you want to place it on, go to the toolbar at the top, find insert HTML and use your properties editor to paste the HTML onto a box that you can move around and put it where ever you want it. When you preview your page, you will be able to see it. If you are reading this all for the first time through and are saying to yourself, "what in the world is she talking about" once you learn how to use Homestead, you will come back here and laugh at why you were scared. It really is simple once you get down the basics.
You will now have your automatic payment processor ready!!
Let's recap what you have learned so far!
So far you understand:
1. You have to think differently
2. You no longer want to trade your time for money
3. You want to discover CATAGORIES that are getting a lot of attention online. (saving money, making money, recipes, auctions, advertising, software, tips, etc.)
4. You want to find "assets" or information that will serve those categories.
5. You want an automated system to manage your "assets" (website, listing company, Stormpay)
